Toe-nail overgrew

WHAT HAPPENS?

Anomaly of toel-nail are often caused by imperfect use of scissors or wearing too tigh shoes. The owergrew nail cause inflammation in the surrounding tissues, which often recrudesces. Toes become swollen and purulent, wearing shoes and walking pains and inconvenient.

ORDENARY TREATMENT:

Overgrew part of the nail and the tissues around are cutted by the surgeon, then it is sewed and bound.

After the treatment:

• sharp pain

• slippers to wear

• rest for 2 weeks (no standing, walking too much)

• after 10 days: removal of stitches

TREATMENT WITH ERBIUM-YAG LASER:

Overgrew part of the nail and the tissues around are evaporated by the laser. It sterilizes the surface, so inflammation and purulence are stopped.
